Night At The Asian Art Museum in SF
Join alumni from Haas, Anderson, Columbia and Kellogg MBA for a special Matcha evening event at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco on Thursday August 19th. Now in its sixth year, Matcha is a mixer of art, performance, music and conversation that allows visitors to experience the museum in engaging ways.
The theme for the August 19th event is “Drunken Dish.” One of the most famous culinary regions in China is Shanghai. Not to be overlooked in Shanghai’s gastronomic repertoire are “drunken dishes,” where food is marinated in wine. The museum has paired with the Asian Culinary Forum for a feature talk on Shanghai cuisine and a demonstration of making "drunken chicken." Savor signature Shanghai bites made with Shaoxing wine, toast with a drink from the cash bar (one drink ticket is included with your registration), and tour the special exhibition.
We will have a separate area for people to meet and chat.
About the Museum: The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is one of the largest museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian art. The current exhibition includes Shanghai, which explores, through the mirror of its art, the tumultuous history that has resulted in one of the world's most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities. It is the cornerstone of the Shanghai Celebration—a year-long Bay Area-wide collaboration honoring SF's sister city and coinciding with the 2010 World Expo hosted by none other than Shanghai.
